Sheriff Admits He’s Playing Taylor Swift Songs To Stop Witnesses From Uploading Videos to YouTube

An Alameda County, CA Sheriff’s department admitted to playing music by Taylor Swift to prevent  citizen’s recordings from being uploaded to YouTube.

The idea is the song would trigger copyright infringement preventing the video from being uploaded or it would get the account holders account shut down.

Police accountability activists noticed a new trend of officers playing music by artists like Taylor Swift and the Beatles when being filmed.
