Taylor Swift, Harry Styles, Hailey Bieber, Fellow Stars Condemn U.S. Court Ruling On Abortion Laws
Taylor Swift, Harry Styles, and Hailey Bieber all took to social media on Friday to express their disappointment over the Supreme Court’s decision to overturn Roe v. Wade, which restores the state’s rights to determine if abortion should be legal.
“I’m absolutely terrified that this is where we are—that after so many decades of people fighting for women’s rights to their own bodies, today’s decision has stripped us of that,” Swift tweeted, along with Michelle Obama’s statement on the issue.
Harry Styles tweeted his “devastation for the people of America,” and he encouraged his fans to “check on each other,” calling the day a “dark” one for America.
Hailey Bieber posted the headline to her Instagram Stories, writing, “I’m speechless. What an extreme loss and disappointment. This is really really scary,”
